faulty floor glides

We bought 3 of these about 4 years ago. They are very attractive and we have enjoyed having them in our kitchen. With the exception of the floor glides, they have held up very well. For some reason the floor glides deteriorated on almost every chair, and every leg. They chairs have not had heavy use or held a heavy load. We have smooth hardwood floors so hard to understand why the glides fell apart. It looks like a poor design. When the glides are gone, you're left with a metal surface that will scratch wood or ceramic. We've been trying to find replacement parts for quite some time but with no luck.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought a set of 5 of these barstools for my kitchen. They are beautiful! I had a little difficulty with putting together one of the seats on the stool because the weld material filled the hole. [...] I get compliments constantly on these bar stools. They add so much to my kitchen/great room. The assembly was simple too. I highly recommend these bar stools and this company. This company is the best I have ever bought from, especially online.
